    Housing Subsidy

I am planning on traveling, but staying with family. How much is an average housing subsidy? I know they vary by assignment and location. I just wanted to get a general idea. Is it like $50 bucks or is it decent?

WEll... I'm a brand new travel nurse. I start my first assignment next week. And from my research and bargaining, it seems it is job/location specific. And.... $50 seems a lil low to me!

    Re: Housing Subsidy

I was offered $925.00 from one company for Austin, TX...which is very low compared to cost of living there! Other companys are offering > $1100.00 for Austin from what I am being told. So yes, $50.00 is way too low!

I wasn't offered $50.00. I was just asking because I had no idea whatsoever what an average housing subsidy was. Thanks for the replies!
