| Job acceptance question? I have a question. I had 2 interviews last week. Both are jobs I'd be happy in..but one is the job I've wanted for 2 years. Unfortuantely, that interviewer was going on vacation for 2 weeks after my interview so I may not hear back until then. The other interview- went exremely well. They basically offered me a job contingent on my backround check and references. So....how do I handle this? I want to keep it as a back up if I don't get the other. Can I possibly ask them for THAT much time to think about it? I know they're desperate...and haven't had much interest in the position because it's a small town way out in the middle of nowhere. Either way...they have to wait for me to take boards..and I don't have an authorization to test yet...or to get a temp lisence which could take a few weeks too. Any advice here? Also...while I'm asking advice....is it hard to get a job in a hospital after working a year in long term care? The offer I got would be more hours...and thus more money even though the pay is less. Should I keep looking if I don't get the hospital job...or would it still count as nursing experience if I apply for a hospital a year from now? TIA |
