| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license compact states are in an agreement that if you live in and are liscensed in a state that is in the compact you can work on that states license in another state that is in the compact. I just got my KY newsletter today and they are talking compact as is FLA 2 of which I never thought would go compact. Here in IN they talked it and almost signed it and as far as I know now they are still backed out. The key is live in the state that is compact am I right? as well as licensed. |

| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license I'm glad to here that FL may possibly be going compact. I plan to move there in the near future and would love to have the option of coming back to MS to work if need be, or the possibilties of travel there. NICE....J |

| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license compact also has to do with disciplinary actions. If you are working in another state and have a problem it goes back to your home state and they are the ones that decide if disceplinary action is warrented. |

| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license [ QUOTE ] Blessed said: never heard of this happening. I also live in a compact state and never heard of this. Don't let it concern you too much though unless it directly affects you. My theory is that, if it doesn't affect me or bring harm to anyone around me, leave it alone. However, if you find more info on this, I'd be interested in knowing what state and institution it is for future reference. [/ QUOTE ] I am not going to name the company on here at least not at this time, but when I get the proof I will nail them and then I will let you know. if they don't hurt me first. |

I just applied at an agency that called some one else into the office while I was there after I filled out all the info and after telling me that she had lots of RN work for me than turns around and gives me jobs that are for an LPN so that this other person can work as an RN. |

| Super Moderator | Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license Till you come up with some specifics, all you're giving us to make your case is speculation. If it is so serious that you're worried about your safety, why wouldn't you report it to the proper authorities? If there is something unethical going on at the agency you described, there's a very easy way to find out. All agencies are required to verify licensure with the state board, all facilities require a copy of your license from the agency. Call them up and tell them you think yours has been stolen/compromised. They'll issue you a new one, and anyone using your old will be screwed. Andrew Lopez, RN http://www.nursinga2z.com |

| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license I live in a compact state. I have worked in North Carolina under my Nebraska license. If I would have done anything wrong it would have been sent to my original licensing state. I would also have known if anyone was using my license. If you see something illegal happening you should report it to the licensing board. Also you will need more specific information to submit to them. We all need to watch out for illegal use of licenses. |

| Re: Illegal use of some ones nursing license I wasn't looking for you to validate what I was saying. You can choose to believe it or not. I already contacted the Board of nursing they have no way of following who is working in what state. Unless they do something wrong no one will even know except me because I am the one that is affected. And I tried to contact authorities, my E-mail was blocked. Believe it or not. |
