I can do all things through Christ .....

Welcome!

I would like to start this post for anyone who needs a little encouragment...I know that I do from time to time!
The decision to become a nurse is not very easy for me;I promise you that! But I know that this storm, will not last always!

I remember when I was a little girl growing up in rural, Clarkton, North Carolina! If I had known then, what I know now, I would not have shed so many tears!
Nevertheless, I can remember going to church with my mother, she never let me miss a Sunday, and she led part of the service just for the children:"Children's Hour". During this portion of the service she would read the bible to us, and give us an object lesson, and then ask us if we had anything that we would like to do. Now of course , being multi-talented, I wanted to sing, say my bible verse, and pray!
You know what they say about people who wear too many hats? One of them is going to fall off! Anyway, as time progressed and I began to go to school, my responsibilities no longer focused upon having something to do for Children's Hour. My responsibilities were comprised of doing homework, playing with friends, and keeping my hair cute! (All this at the ripe old age of 7!) I continued to sing, and I prayed often but when it came to bible verses I fell a little slack! ( Now look, I do not need anyone to respond and say how awful it was to ignore the word, I know better now! But at the time, hmm, serving God and adhering to his word was not the focus of my life!)

Back to the subject at hand, one Sunday I had not prepared my scripture to say, and I walked over to my aunt and I guess she had not either so she whispered in my ear, " I can do ALL things through Christ that strengthens me!"

After my mother had finished her object lesson, we went around the alter reciting our scriptures. And I spoke out with a loud, proud voice, mimicking a tele-vangelist, " I CAN do All things through CHRIST that strengthens me!" And the church loved it!!! "Praise the lord!", "Glory be to God!", could be heard throughout the sanctuary! ( Thanks Auntie!)

As time progressed, and I continued to take part in this partition, I always remembered that as my backup, and although it never got the same response I knew that it was still true!

So I say to all of you, who may need a little encouragement, you can do it! God loves you and with him for you he is more than the whole world against you!!!

"Isn't that wonderful!!!"
