A section for each of the individual nursing specialties would be helpful.

There are so many different areas to branch out in once you have some experience, it would be helpful to have forums where people could explore what else is out there.

The potential for growth is tremendous!!! It's really exciting to see so many people want MORE!!! I'm sure the administrator will be receptive to positve change and growth in this forum.

We are working on that, as it is a great idea. The only reason we haven't added all of the specialties is that there aren't enough posts to warrant it. As the membership grows we will add more forums...

We are almost to 5,000 and I expect us to reach 10,000 fairly quickly.

If you think there are any speciality forums that would pick up really quickly, please let me know and I will go ahead and add them...

When someone responds to your post, you get an instant notification via e-mail.

Do we have that functionality here? I'm sure it would bring people back regularly if they know people were reading/responding to their postings.

It can also be set up to notify you if someone posts under a certain section or topic also.

Not sure if this software has that functionality but it would be worth spending some time to implement.

Trying to think of ways to speed up growth (smile).

The only suggestion I'd make then is can we place a link in each discussion category to alert people they can "subscribe to this discussion."

Maybe when they go to "My Home" we can mention there too that they can subscribe to individual discussions. If you had not mentioned it here, I wouldn't have know we had that functionality.
