Wink Hello everyone!

I know technically I am not a nurse, but I would like to talk to some! My aunt is an MA and I am graduating as an MA in May. My dream is to be a nurse and after I graduate as an MA I will be finished my Associates degree and moving on to Drexel University for my BSN. I've also thought about getting a 2 year nursing degree.

Anyone have any helpful input? And can you take the boards to be an RN without having completed an actual RN program? As I said, I will be an MA with an associates degree in Allied Health Technology.

I look forward to hearing from you!

Re: Hello everyone!

Welcome to the site, MACourtney.

Sorry, but you gotta complete an RN program before taking Boards. Oh, yeah....some colleges let you take the LPN Boards, but that is usually with a program that offers the option.

If you are graduating as an MA, wouldn't it be more prudent to just go for your BSN, instead of an Associate Degree?

IMHO, your next logical step is BSN.

Good luck!
