future nursing student

I am having major aniexty about nursing school. I am currently in HR and have a secondary degree in something other than nursing. I have always wanted to be in the medical field and am unsatisfied working in an office enviroment.

I AM PERTRIFIED ABOUT NURSING SCHOOL!!!!! I am not sure of the school, even though it is well regarded and all the local hospitals rave about the students. I am a caretaker bu nature, but am worried I will not have the strength to handle this. I got straight A's at IU, but am worried I am going to fail out of all my clinicals and theory classes!!!!

Does anyone have any words of wisdom, advice, anything something to help me know I am doing the right thing????

Hi,
Nursing school is a major source of anxiety, but you need to get in first. Once that hurdle is over, do it week by week, semester by semester and clinic by clinic. You don't have to know a single thing about nursing except that you want to do it,
and are serious about being a nurse. Your school will teach you the tools to be a nurse, it is up to you to learn the art of nursing and apply them. Try not to stress over it too much, there will be enough to stress about once you get in school, like how am i supposed to read 100 pages and memorize electrolytes in three days and test in four, and prepare for clinic, wash and iron my whites, find time to feed the family, pay my bills, clean house, and still find time to relax and exercise. Whew.
