well it's not like we sit for hours on end during our surgeries being it's usually less then an hour from the time pt arrives to moving them out to PACU but 5 mins here and there and only 1 pt to take care of and no call lights to answer just running for anesthesia, adding things to the field, counting, charting, There are scrub techs in the OR and that's it they are scrubbed in and assist in the surgery they is still a circulating nurse (unless you are 1st assist nurse assisting).
There are lots of quick jobs that don't require lifting or standing just takes some looking. I liked working for the dress buyer in a major women's clothing store sat in an office and kept track of inventory coming and going and saw all the new clothing before they went on the floor only problem was spending everything I made on new clothing. Like I said I've thought about another job in some store to get the discount...my 18 yr old works in a video store so we get to see all of the new releases on the weekend before the Tuesday public release.

Unfortunately I moved to a small town, couldn't move after I lost my job so now I am going to lose everything I guess the lesson to learn here is if you have any health issues it is just tough luck. I'll probably end up in jail over this. wow I have been looking for a job for almost a year now.
