| evening shift work? I'm new here and am considering a career in psychiatric nursing. I have a degree in physical education and have done a lot of psychology coursework and really enjoyed it. I feel that I'd find helping people with this area of their health really rewarding. One thing that does scare me a little though is just the shift work that is invovled. Are all nursing positions always shift work? Is it ever possible to just work days? (in psychiatric nursing specifically). |

| Re: evening shift work? you can work just days if you are in a MD office or out patient setting. Inpatient/Hospital is 24 hr operations so that would just depend on the shift you are hired for but night shift everywhere where I've been is for the most part lowest seniority.
