Education in Canada, working in the US?

I'm thinking about entering a psychiatric nursing diploma program in Alberta, Canada and am wondering how hard it is to work in the states if you have your education in Canada?

I'm really interested in being a psychiatric nurse specifically. What is the education needed for this in the states. I'm under the impression that here I could get a job with a RPN diploma program.

Any information would be great!
