Dr.s Who Are Nurses??

Are there any nurses out there who used to be trained /working doctors? If so, what is it like working as a nurse [compared to being a physician/MD/DO]? Any pros/cons to either field? And why did you decide to convert to nursing?

I recently made the [unusual?] acuaintance with a nurse who claimed he was a physician years ago. He said nursing was the best thing he'd done as he had more time devoted towards patient care and had a flexible schedule.

For those former doctors who are now practicing RN's....any thoughts??
