There's lots of evidence based research to support children making their own medical and end of life decisions..... I keeping thinking of local story a few years back of a boy age 10 who "Decided" not ot have a second round of chemo. After much debate his parents and the doctor's honored his request opting for comfort care only. He died a couple of weeks after he pitched his little league team into the championship series.....
