Mid 90's with heat index into the 100's just have packing stuff to do along with laundry, dog washing, car washing and anything else it takes to get ready to leave for a few months.

Good morning, and so it is Monday. Oh, joy.
Yesterday was hot, sticky, and sorta miserable after I got home. Went to the folks' house, saw Dad...... Had a thunderstorm pass by, which helped the temp some, but it still will be quite warm the next few days.
How is it elsewhere?

60-65 here with a slight breeze and guess what, it's raining... I had to open the valve and empty the rain barrel yesterday because it was full. Oddly enough, nothing needed watering so I let it run down the driveway. Hope y'all have a good day.

It's 71 here, but going to get up to 88? Not sure. At least we have a bit of sun...for now. The dog days are gonna be pretty bad, if it keeps up.
Hey, RICU--did you do anything wonderful yesterday?
Yes, I did, Cat.
My family took me out for breakfast to one of my favorite restaurants, Crackerbarrel. It ended up being more like lunch after the drive and wait, but it was great. The nearest Crackerbarrel is 45 minutes away but it's not too far for the occasional run. After that, stopped by our Godson's house to give him his birthday gift and then went back home. Later on, we had friends over for dinner and a movie. The day really went by too quickly.
Thanks for asking,
R

Glad to hear you had a decent day. You do anything for your husband, cass?
The air conditioner just kicked in, so it's getting humid here. Just think, a few months ago we were wishing for warmer weather.
It is around 80 F here in TN. However, I am still in the house watching "Across the Universe" for about the 5th time. I have a clinical engagement with a local medical center tonight; so I am studying up on my cardiovascular physiology and acid/base dynamics.
I am glad to see everyone so active this morning. Keep it up.

Well, I got back from my first class a couple of hours ago. Wall to wall people with about 20 trying to add the class. Now I can hardly wait for it to be over. Have to do the other things I've been putting off for days and weeks. It is going to be in the 70s here for a few days, just right.

Got home just a bit ago; found passports on table. Yay!
Have a heat advisory until tomorrow evening. Ya know, it's just a wee bit too early in the season for this sorta stuff. Hurrah for the good old AC.
Hey Cat,
Planning a trip abroad? BTW, on the heat advisory, we could use a little here but, just a little...
