Hi. I finally sent a letter to the CEO/Owner of Favorite Nurses/Leopoldtstat staffing agency on December4, 2006:frustrated: . This was to explain what had happened and that I wanted to work with him to correct the problem and asked that he please contact me. Needless to say it is now the end of February and I'm still waiting. So much for doing the right thing. I guess one of us has to be the responsible adult and I did my part. I can only comment on the Oak Brook Illinois office, I don't know how things are in their other offices.

OH MY! I had this same issue with Favorites back in 2005-2006 and am starting to travel again and hear they are still doing "ghost shifting". I can't tell you how many nights I took a nap from 5p-9p and then got canceled. Not only was I out the $$$ but now I was wide awake all night! I had a feeling this is what they were doing and often the woman on weekends was running the whole show from Kansas alone. That is when I got a regular job and gave up Favorites. Currently, Maxim is trying to jerk me around with a last paycheck that has never gotten signed as someone took my slip out of my clipboard before the end of shift. I'm gonna eat the gas today and go make sure I get another slip signed myself. I can't believe this "ghost shifting" is tolerated anywhere (I'm in the Carolinas). IF they HAD to pay for 4hrs work when we got canceled, they would stop!
