What is the biggest lie told to you in nursing school?

I would say that it is blood can only begiven in a 20g IV. That is a big fat lie, I would love to see the med surg prof put in a 20g in a 26 weeker

I still hear the same thing in L&D. We use 18-20 gas most of the time but every now and then we have to use a 22 and some won't put in an epidural unless we change it to a 20. If we could have put in a 20 to start with we would have.
