anticipatory New Grad with first local Hospital interview

Hi all,

Even though I am "possibly" on reserve as a future new Army nurse there were some schedule complications and it seems I will not be going to my initial training for a minimum of 10 months from now.

So, I need to find work here where I am and I applied just last Thursday to three area hospitals.

Yesterday one called to schedule an interview!

After 15+ years working as an ulicensed assistive personnel this is my very first REAL nurse interview

It is scheduled for March 6th at one of the hospitals were I am doing clinicals. I have to drive for that one and the other two hospitals are withing 5-10 minutes walking distance from home.

Exited? YES!!

p.s. now if only I could get my recruiter to stop telling me that I absolutely must stop school after my RN and sit to wait for the Army Nurse call to assign me, since he has already told me that they cannot assign me to start until the minimum of January 2008! I asked him to change my date of entry in my contract to be June 2008 so that I can give a local hospital a year of employment as well as to complete a certificate at my school.
