| advice needed I have an interesting problem that I hope someone can advise me on. I am a Canadian trained RN who now lives in France. I am wanting to start working here and have had no problems getting positions, however I cannot get licensed and registered by the Dept of Health here because I was not trained in the EU. I submitted a huge package of infor outlining my education, RN BSCN ONS, my experience, 15 yrs and they denied my application. This is despite the fact that my education is far more extensive than the nursing education available here in France. They suggested I return to nursing school here, one of the places that I had a job offer! I am planning to contact them again to see if they would consider my situation as exceptional and grant me a temp license and have my nrsg skills etc evaluated for 6 months and then give me a permanent license assuming they are satisfied. ?Good idea. Any other suggestions |
