and i might add i was not happy at that job and quit it for a better one. so they aren't "graced" with my presence. i now work at a job that has none of that.

complaints about my former job at a hosp?
yes some nurses were control b-----es. yes there were cliques. yes the nurse managers would hire friends who got away with everything. yes nurse mangers would sleep with techs and the techs would get away with everything. yes there were nurses who would report everybody else'es mistakes but ignore their own. yes some nurses got to work the "easy" units all the time while everybody else had to rotate on the "harder" units. but what work enviroment doesn't have these prob? the point is to be grateful for what you do have and not dwell on what you don't. if you can't do that then move onto something else. and why do you stick by your lemming story? it is a fictional story by walt disney. why do you want everybody to complain? is it research for something?

Hi,
I'm not sure where this started but I can follow some of your final points. I agree with the essence of your point about needing to find a place where you can get along, I would add that you must try your best to be a person that others can get along with as well. I've witnessed many occurrances where one toxic individual can make an entire group turn sour. Take the toxic person away and you have a relatively agreeable team. Have others seen the same thing? While no place is perfect, I have never in thirty years been in the extreme situations that I read so much about. I think it's the person more than the place most of the time. Look for a fit

oh yes. several people at that work place hated it there. and they left also. some stay for the money. even the one's i referred to as "controlling b****es" left because they were upset because they couldn't control everything. so even the one's that as you put it "cause problems" leave because they aren't getting what they want either. where i work now people love it and it's a great place. i was tired of going to work being nice to people and acting like a professional and in return working with people who think because they went to school to learn how to put on a band aid they know everything. i'm not putting down nursing i'm just saying get into perspective. are you treating AIDS patients in Malawi or are you simply sitting around making fun of the patients doing easy work? get real.
OMG How old are u people
So what if u had *****es in your work place, or u didnt i am glad u found a new job but its just work get a life and get over yourselfs
:frustrated: ![]()
Honey- for most of us, nursing isn't just a job, it's a career- something we have dedicated a big chunk of our lives to. This website presents a forum where we can share knowledge, news & frustrations with other nurses- that doesn't mean that we don't have a life or that we need to "get over ourselves." You don't need to agree with every person on this site, but when you disagree with someone, you don't need to fling insults- it's unprofessional & immature.

Am I missing something? Did the first post get deleted?
Sounds like a description of a beauty parlor - not a nursing unit.
Hey i wasnt trying to insult anyone its just my opinion, i was just saying people leave people come u get nice nurses u get none, u get some that can run and some that can walk, u get some that are silent and some that can talk.
