CARING - an educational and networking group

This is my first post so I will tell you about a group I founded 25 years ago.
CARING, CARING - www.caringonline.org, is a national group with an international focus, for the purpose of education and networking in nursing informatics. Here are some highlights about the group:

* a network of over 1775 informatics professionals in 50 states and
29 countries,
* an active e-mail list with an option for digest messages,
* quarterly newsletter indexed in CINAHL, Thomson, and, EBESCO
* job bank with employee-paid postings,
* a toll free number for contact with the CARING Board, 1-866-552-6404
* reduced rate for the Computers, Informatics and Nursing journal,
* annual CARING luncheon during AMIA and annual dinner during SINI,
* membership in the Alliance for Nursing Informatics, and
* meetings and conferences around the nation and the world.

This is a great field to be in and I see only growth for informatics nurses.
