| help a fellow rn, please I, too am looking into LNC work, but upon further research, have found that New York State lawyers generally hire RN paralegals to do the same work cheaper. This makes it almost impossible for even the best sales(wo)men to barter for the fair market value of the services that we provide. I live in upstate New York (Syracuse), and would like some advice on wether I should go into this full speed ahead, or not. Any advice or help would be great! |

| Re: help a fellow rn, please I'm not questioning your findings, but I wonder why an RN who took the time and expense to become a paralegal would want to work cheaper than a LNC? Are you sure they're using RN/Paralegals or just paralegals? Perhaps its a matter of educating the attorneys in your area about the value a legal nurse consultant provides? There's an article by Vickie Milazzo that may help explain the difference and the great value legal nurse consultant offer to an attorney's practice: Certified Legal Nurse Consultant's Analysis Spurs Record Settlement
