| Super Moderator | Vermont colleges explore distance learning options November 5, 2004: Vermont colleges explore distance learning options:"To alleviate the nursing shortage in the Northeast Kingdom, Castleton State College has devised a program that combines interactive television and classroom learning. It allows students who live as much as 90 miles from campus to earn a degree mainly on a long-distance basis. This year, 43 students are participating in the two-year program, which began in 2001." http://www.timesargus.com/apps/pbcs....11/1003/NEWS02 Hmmm. . . for the book learning portion I can live with them taking classes online. I'd need to see how they are handling clinicals before I'd be comfortable having a nurse take care of me that got their degree online. Makes you nervous. Andrew Lopez, RN http://www.4nursing.com |
