    Smile Another Newbie

Hi. I'm an L.P.N. in New Jersey and I am currently not yet working but very soon to be looking for the job of my dreams and possibly go back to school for my RN. I am going to be 45 years old and I think I'm too old to do it! I haven't worked in 2 years because I took care of my mother, who passed away in May of 2006, then I fell and fractured both my dominent arm and leg, requiring pins and plates, and now I'm staying home and packing my sons open wound from a ruptured appendicitis surgery and giving him large doses of antibiotics. He goes for an appointment to CHOP tomorrow with his surgeon and I'll find out if he will be going back to school or not! That is the determination of my employment statis. I am thinking of applying for agency work and possibly 12 hour weekend shifts if they still have them. Anyone with any info on the employment world in NJ (I'm pretty south), please send me a note and any and all with comments regarding my post, PLEASE let me hear your thought. Thanks. Hope to make some good friends in here!

Hi, Patricia! Nice to meet you. And nooo....you aren't too old to get your RN; I have faith in you! It took me several years (17) to go the LPN to RN route.

Sorry to hear about your 'breaks'; and I know your son got the best care he could. I wish you both luck.

Hope to see many of your posts here in the future!
