IMHO - I think that if there is any question of the integrity of the test and therefore the qualifications of the nurses involved - caution should be used in admitting these nurses to the US. National Security concerns aside we are talking about patient safety and the preservation of our own job pool. Nurse recruiters and Large Hospitals have been selling our jobs at drastically reduced salaries to nurses from other countries for too long now. I have no problem with anyone coming over to be a nurse if they are qualified and use the immigration process correctly.

I guess if nurses pass the boards and go through the correct legal process I don't care if they work in the US or not. I do however, think they should be fluent in English so that they can understand their patients. If I were hospitalized and my nurse didn't speak my language fluently I'd be pretty PO'd if I couldn't get my needs met. You would think that the Philippines would need these nurses themselves, though. Aren't there a lot of people there? Don't they have jobs available?

Why Us didn't accept The Philippines Nurse? But I have many Friend, they are Philippines and they went to US by this year..How?
