strike relief nursing

I know I'm about to open Pandora's box, but the curiosity is killing me. Has anyone out there done strike relief nursung? It seems to be a hush-hush thing. I've never been involved in a strike before in anyway. I need to hear some valid discussion, not prejudicial garbage. I want to hear from both sides: for and against.
