I can not help you, but I would love to know how to get a job in Ireland...Can you help me?
Hi there,
I’m a Canadian RN working in Montréal in a bilingual hospital on a surgical floor. I might have to relocate to Ireland for a long time (some family reasons).
Is there any RN with some previous Irish experience? I would like to have some information about the wages (per hour, per week or so…), housing, living cost, climate, Irish attitude towards the non Irish, patient –nurse relationship (if different than in N America or specific), MD-nurse relationship etc. Those infos would help me a lot and I’d be very grateful to have any piece of info. Thanks a lot to all of you who had the patience to read this loooong message.

This reply may not be too helpful however...
I was at a job fair in Ottawa last year and there was a travel nurse company there...can't recall the name but want to say Select was their name?? They were out of BC, and advertised travel nursing jobs in the states, Australia and Ireland. Maybe you can do a net search for more info? Canadian Travel Nurse companies??
Hope this may be a little helpful.
When are you going to Ireland? I am interested in travel nursing there, if possible. I hope that you stay in touch!
Hi there,
Sorry for the delay in my answer but better later than never isn’t it?
Hopefully I’ll go this year. To be able to work in Ireland as an RN you have to follow two big steps.
First step : register with the Irish Nursing Board -www.nursingboard.ie
Second step : hunt for a job by yourself
That’s all.
All the best.:luck:
