Hello Michelle,
Welcome aboard! Sounds like you keep busy, but hope you find time to visit us often.
Hi. My name is Michelle and I work as a peds nurse in an average sized community hospital. I've been a nurse for 7 years. I was in peds for 6, then did one yr in ED and I've recently had a baby and gone on maternity leave. When I came back from my leave I went back to peds because I missed it. I have also worked prn as a case manager/discharge planner. In addition to being a nurse I am a certified social worker. I have 2 kids, Noah who is 3 1/2 and Isaiah who is 3 mos. Noah, my oldest, has right hemiplegia cerebral palsy so a lot of my off time is taken up by his therapies and appointments. I love being a nurse and I love my job. I look forward to some good discussions with other members of this board. It is nice to meet you!

Hi Michelle and welcome.
I also started in peds then went to homehealth seeing mostly peds now I do L&D and until this semester was teching L&D & Peds clinicals (I'm not going to do that this semester) I got sick on a cruise in Nov and have been off on leave since then (had surgery once I got back home) I go back to work 1/2 and I'm not going to do much extra. I also work perdiem L&D at a 2nd hospital and sell Avon. I have an 8 yr old still at home who doesn't want me to go back to work he's liked me being home.
