| Re: Potential Cure for Cancer? I think if those substances offered a cure for male impotence, researchers would be racing to clinical trials. I believe there are already cures for cancer, but don't mess with a trillion dollar industry unless you have forgotten the name Karen Silkwood. (She was whistle blower in the nuclear industry and was killed as she was attempting to deliver incriminating evidence.) In answer to the question, yes, I think it's a potential cure for cancer, which is why it will be buried. I'm an optimist and realist. |

| Re: Potential Cure for Cancer? Drug companies are in business to make money. If they can't patent the drug they're not going to put any money into R&D. It's the American way, isn't it? We're capitalists. |

| Admin aka Shortbus | Re: Potential Cure for Cancer? I may be a conspiracy theorist, but I believe that you are right in part about cancer cures, and I also believe the same for diabetes, and for that matter fuel/energy sources, especially for automobiles. You telling me you can't make cars that get better than 25 mpg? Get out of here with that nonsense. My guess is anytime anything arises that would cause a dent in income, that "R&D" money kicks in. More like Reimburse and Destroy. I read an article about these kids, former gang members and high school dropouts and their tech teacher or whatever...made a sports car that went 0-60 in less than 4 seconds AND got like 60 mpg. They did it on a teeny tiny budget on their first try. If they can do that, then tell me why billions of dollars of research employing thousands of people can't do it. I'll tell you why but I think you know. Don't get me started. You'll all think I'm some kind of loon!

That's basically the same thing I wanted to post, Aaron. Especially diabetes. Why cure a disease when you can make so much money treating it? |

It never got made, obviously. As for the CA cure, it'll probably be a 'false alarm', or something will be found wrong with it...... Eva.....if you hear any more, let us know! 'Cat' |
