Am considering L&D travel assignment at either Community Hospital of Monterey or Memorial Hospital of Modesto. I have seen a positive review of the modesto hosp, but nothing on Monterey. I would also like to hear about good housing in either community. Thanks for your help

Hi there,

I am currently doing a travel assignment at CHOMP (community hosp. Monterey penn.) I just resigned for another 20 weeks., I have really enjoyed working here., The staff are some of the nicest people I have worked with, very friendly and welcoming., I work in the ICU & can only speak for that area though., I do not know anything about their Labor & Delivery unit. Employees have been at this hospital for long periods of time and like their jobs. The area is beautiful and there is plenty of housing in Monterey or Pacific Grove (which your travel comp. probably has) If you have a dog- like I do, it is much more difficult, but there are a few places. I had to be housed in Marina which is 11 miles from Chomp., not as nice as Monterey or PG. but not bad, Well good luck in your new job - where ever you end up
