****o Janine,
It is true that the majority of travelers out there travel before having children or after their children have let the house. Having said that, there are many who travel with their children, especially when not yet in school. Depending on where you go and what company you go with the packages will vary. The standard package out there is pay, fully furnished single apartment, travel, and insurance (usually the company pays for the nurse and nurse usually pays for additional family members). This is not an absolute but rather just a standard package. The most important factor in choosing to travel is, "Do you and your fiancé want to travel?" If the two of you are excited you will enjoy it and if you decide you don't then it is only for 3 months (on average) and then you can head back home. Labor and Delivery nurses are highly sought after so you will have a lot of locations to choose from. If you are interested you can give me a call or an email. Talk to you soon.

I homeschool my son, but there are several other ways to do it by doing a 9 month assignment while the kids are in school, and then another 3 month summer assignment when the kids are out of school... some switch during the summer break and the Christmas break. My husband is disabled, so he is a full time Mr. Mom, but my son works at fast food restaurants and doesn't have a problem getting a job... I know another couple in which the husband does subsititute teaching, and others where the husband works maintence or housekeeping at the hospital.
