Hi everyone! I am in my second semester of nursing school and have not personally seen this, but read an artilce that interested me. It discussed how experimenting is being done with patient controlled oral analgesics vs. nurse-administerd oral analgesic after the patient has been taken off IV pain meds. From the articel I have read, it sounds like this is being tested on post-ortho surgeries like total knees. Was wondering if anyone has used this method working on the floor or have heard of it? Thanks
