Excellent product for dry hands

I don't know about the rest of you but after three days of working and having to wash my hands repeatedly with the coarse soap or use that horrid Purell, my hands are an absolute mess. I have tried so many different remedies I can't remember them all. Clinique's Water Therapy Hand Lotion is pretty good but the other day I bought a product called "Gloves in a Bottle" and can't get over how well it works even after only one application. It is unscented and non-greasy and repairs even damaged skin in no time at all. I love it! I bought it at my local CVS for $12.99 for 8 oz and will never use another product again so long as it's on the market. Hoping this will help others with chafed, damaged skin on their hands.

Have you used Avon's silicone glove? Very good (ok I sell Avon) but also a real good thing for home treatment is plain old white Crisco. My child had severe skin problems as an infant and we tried all kinds of things. His MD had us use Crisco and it cleared up. Also make sure and take care of your hands on your days off with lotion and gloves on cold days.

Thanks for that post. I have always had rough dry hands and we use to have
gladhands at the hospital. I notice too that railways stations have rubbish as handwash. Last time I travelled I had washed my hands and put more on the right hand than the left. when I looked down sometime later the skin was actually flaking off. I'll be looking for that product. My daughter actually gave me some nutrogena which was good but I'm all out of it.

I tend to use aveno hand lotion i love their "baby aveno" with lavender..smell is comforting and keeps my hands moist. try it out

I use petrolleum jelly before I go to bed...apply a generous amount and rub it into the skin, then put on those pharmacy cloth gloves and sleep with them on. It helped me a lot through all my clinicals and it is the cheapest thing ever!

I bought a few trial size lotions trying to find one to help my hands. The other day I grabbed one and put it on and the scent made me stop using it. Ironically there is nothing wrong with the scent. The problem is I have a resident in my nursing home who likes to have this same lotion applied to his legs and feet and every time I tried to use this lotion on my own hands it would make me think of his feet and work. I bring home enough stress and worries from work, I don't need anything else to remind myself of work during the few hours I'm at home!!! Ha ha ha...

Thanks for the recommendation. With working and having my own new baby I am constantly washing my hands. They are so dry and cracked and I need something. I lotion constantly and I haven't found anything that works really well. I'm going to give this a try.

I LOVE aveeno...i use it all over. it works really well if you have allergy hives or other allergic reactions. Aveeno also have the menthol lotion which is sooo relaxing. It puts me to sleep everytime. I like the GOLDBOND menthol lotion too. If your ever in pain or feeling a bit worn out...get some of this!! it eases the tension.

Oh gosh, that is hilarious. Do you know how many products I've stopped using because it reminded me of work? how funny!!!!

I would have to agree on the Aveeno, but I have also used Sween Cream that came with an order of adult diapers for a patient of mine. It worked really good on my hands, even though it's more for incontinence care.
