Johnson & Johnson received a subpoena from the U.S. Attorney's Office requesting documents regarding sales and marketing of eight drugs to Omnicare Inc.
In its third quarter financial report filed with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, Johnson & Johnson (NYSE: JNJ) confirmed that it received the subpoena Sept. 26 from the U.S. Attorney in Massachusetts.
The federal regulatory filing said Johnson's subsidiaries that are involved are in the process of responding to the subpoena.
Covington-based Omnicare (NYSE: OCR) provides drug services to nursing homes and other facilities, runs pharmacies in those facilities, and offers a home-prescription service for the elderly.
