1st Time Traveler to Cali...Need help choosing a company!!

Hi! I am a medical nurse currently employed at Mass General Hospital in Boston with 1 1/2 years of experience. Looking to travel to Cali (San Diego) in September. Does anyone have any advice about which company to go with? I am looking at Cross Country, Onward, Trinity, American Mobile (although I've heard not so great reviews)...any advice or recommendations?? I want a recruiter that is going to work with me and would prefer free Private housing (done with the whole roommate thing). And any good places to work in San Diego that ya'll know of? Any advice is greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Out of all those companies you listed, only one will give you what you need in benefits and pay rate, and that is Trinity Healthcare Staffing... and you will NOT have to share housing. Call Deb at 877-417-9507 and tell her that Epstein told you to call!!!

All the others are Cross Country or part of AMN Healthcare... both the big boys in travel nursing who take, take, take from the travel nurse... with the smaller companies, like Trinity, you get more personlized service.

Even though my friend and I have yet to leave for our assignment, we've both been very happy with PPR heathcare. Our recuiter Amber has been wonderful. She has made us feel like we're the only nurses she's got to take care of.

I travel with Aureus Medical and went to California. I had excellent private housing and only had to bring clothes. They took care of everything. Todd Livingston was my recruiter but the recruiter depends on the area. They give license and travel reimbursement. They also flew me to Sacramento from my assignment in Palm Springs to do my license walk through (to keep from having extra driving). The con is their 90 day wait for benefits.

Very glad that you are happy with Aureus... They were good to me also when I traveled with them, until it came to my longevity bonus... Don't expect it, and maybe you'll be suprised... I was quite suprised when I got screwed out of it.

I had a very good experience with Healthcare Staffing Network. They did everything they promised and they have really good pay.
I have also heard nothing but good about Aureus and intend to go with them on my next assignment. Check them out and tell them that Anna in Montana referred you. (we get referral bonuses). You would talk to John at HSN and Steve at Aureus.

I won't go back to them... they cheated me out of my longivity benefits...

Just realized the I had posted all the time before... sorry about that...

Guess the only other good Aureus story is the time that I called the office and my recruiter was out and they couldn't find me by my NAME, but did find me by my SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER.
