New Nursing Student
Hello everyone!
Well I know you see many come and go but I am planning on making it through the long haul. This will be my second career in my lifetime and by far the most rewarding. I am a 37 year old married mom of one that is a hairstylist for now. I have been working on my general education classes for the last year or so and just got accepted into the Research College of Nursing and Rockhurst University in Kansas City, Missouri. I will start Rockhurst in August and Research in January. I am more than a little excited but also scared to death. I have been looking around to find a little support now and again when things seem to become overwhelming. I am hoping to build some friendships here that will benefit me though the last leg of my adventure. I am looking for some advice and things that will lead me in the direction of becoming an incredible nurse, any help, advice or words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated.
Hi Inkits and welcome to the forum. Its great your going to nursing school. There is certainly a need for you. My advice is to make a couple of friends in the program and support each other. That's what i did years ago and we helped and supported each other all the way through. :luck:
