Liscense changes I got my KY nurses monthly update newsletter. Seems we're going to yearly renewal. LPN's did odd years and RN's even years and they say they didn't have enough money during the LPN years and had to save from the RN years so now we're going to pay $60 every year everybody...any other states going to this? It could be a pain in the behind especially if you carry many liscenses and aren't compact. I don't think KY would ever go compact.

Re: Liscense changes It's KY's way of pulling in a little more money I think. The CEU's are going to be cut in 1/2 but you have to do that many every year instead of every 2 (I've got enough this month for the next 4 years so it's never been a problem) They are also going to start letting LPN's push medications here if they have a course...it wasn't too long ago that they took one to be able to start IV's (maybe 10 years)

Re: Liscense changes We have to renew yearly in Louisiana.Everyone does, all of our licenses expire on January 31.I have also held licenses in N.Y and New Jersey and it was so much better because I only had to renew them every two years.
