If you have time to work part time it wouldn't be a bad idea at all. If you worked as a part time (or relief) unit secretary it would give you plenty of exposure to such things as reading doctors orders, learning how to order tests, and seeing what actually takes place in a given unit.
Whatever job you get would give you added exposure & experience that would benefit you in your future nursing career in some way or another, and nursing students could always stand to earn some money while in nursing school so go for it!
