Illinois nurse gets license just in time...

Guess it took this nurse quite a while to get her license. Nurse gets new license just in time -- chicagotribune.com
I know that the IDFPR has a bunch of licenses to oversee, but could it be on Wisconsin's part, too?

Re: Illinois nurse gets license just in time...

WI uses NURSYS to verify their licenses. Sounds like she didn't go through NURSYS, and that's where the problem was..... because when she finally paid the $30 to have her WI license verified through NURSYS, it went through.... Sounds like she didn't do enough research on what was required. I wouldn't blame it on WI, I'd blame it on her- it's her job to do her homework and know what is required before applying for a license........

Not every state uses NURSYS, either.... Also, the fine print is just that: very fine, and worded in such a way you wonder what the heck you read.

State Boards.....you gotta love them.

It seems state boards go out of there way to make things difficult. And fine print is very vague or confusing. When you call all you seem to get is an automated service or you are on hold for 30 min or more.
