First, I would ask if you are a RN? Most hospitals require Rn liscence first. You can get Associate Degree or Bachelor of Science. If you are still pursuin your RN, show interest in the OB rotation while in school and try to speak with charge nurses or unit managers to find out if they offer an internship program after completing your RN. Most nurses get their foot in the door just out of nursing school and the hospital will provide and internship program during your employment with them. This program last about 3-6 months. I did this, and it was great. Most large hospitals offer a program like this. Good Luck!
