SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY:
 Accountable for the 24 hour operation of 8 LDRP room Birthplace, 5 bed special care nursery, expansion to 12 LDRPs in progress
 65 births/month and growing
 Family centered care philosophy
 Position reports to the Director Maternal/Child Services
 Designated the 26th Baby-FriendlyTM birth facility in the United States by the World Health Organization


BACKGROUND/EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED FOR SUCCESS:
 BSN required strong leadership, management and/or education background
 expertise in outcomes-based quality improvement techniques, staff education and development and perinatal standards of care
 5 years LDRP (L&D/PP/SCN) experience, 2 years nurse management experience in a perinatal setting
 Project management expertise
