Hi I'm student from S.A, doing our RN course which take 4 years, I'm halfway through and will be a EN - or staff nurse if I pass my finals in Jan, I was just wondering what your system in the states and other countries is like, the way it work here is we are placed at a hospital and then we work there for the year, we have a 6 week block of theory in the beginning of the year and then start our practical at the hospital, we have to work atleast 30hrs a week to add up to a 1000 hours of prac a year, and then we attend class once a week, whats it like for you?
