    Re: RN to med. school

A friend of mine is doing this now. She's a third year med student with an unbelievable energy level. She works as a tele nurse during Christmas break and when she gets any free time otherwise. A word of caution- she has spent the last few months in rotation as a med student at our hospital where she works as a nurse as well. She said it's been awkward when dealing with fellow students and interns as a med student then having to do so as a nurse when she works. Some docs/docs-to-be have taken an obvious "looking down at her" pose. Definitely workable, but I'd advise trying to keep separate where you work as a nurse and where you end up doing rotations... Good luck!
