Global TB

Seeing as there has been a rash of VERY drug-resistant TB going around, I thought this'd be 'better' news.... Global tuberculosis rates level off
This, also: Lilly adds $50M to fight tuberculosis

Re: Global TB

That's some scary stuff really. Mainly because of the way TB works and all, and the people it mostly affects.

Not going to the doctor, and not spending money because the initial drugs worked and they feel better. THAT will NEVER change even with FREE drugs.

It will be a problem eventually, as will bacteria like VRE which REALLY scares the crap out of me.

Re: Global TB

Heck, I'm scaring mySELF! I test negative, but have been on the receiving end of a letter telling me I'd been exposed to drug-resistant TB......9 months AFTER the fact. NOT a good thing, either.
