    Working in England

I would like to work as a travel nurse in England. I would appreciate any help and info you could give. Thank you.

You need to contact the NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council)to get your license validated to work in the UK. Log onto www.nmc-uk.org where you should find all the info you need. Why do you want to come here? UK nurses are leaving here in desperation and frustration at the continuing decline of our health care system. I'd trade places with you any day!

I'd like to work in England, also. I know nurses from the UK are coming over here, but that is probably the only way I will ever get to see England is to do a contract there.

    Re: Working in England

What you might want to do is go to a few of the British Nursing Forums. This is one of the largest:

    http://britishexpats.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=72

You might want to ask a few questions, read about the comments and concerns raised by nurses already working in the UK.

    Hope that helps.
