| Super Moderator | Even high-risk patients skipping flu shot Wed, Nov. 10, 2004: Minnesota: Even high-risk patients skipping flu shot:"Take the current flu vaccine shortage, for example. It appears a lot of high-risk Minnesotans are deferring their flu shots this year so that others more vulnerable can get their shots. As a result, turnouts at many recent public flu shots clinics have been underwhelming. "We've been getting reports from counties across the state and in the metro area that high-risk people between 2 and 64 are not showing up for vaccine — and, in some places, people 65 and older seem to be deferring as well," said Kris Ehresmann, head of the state Health Department's immunization program." http://www.twincities.com/mld/twinci...0139801.htm?1c Andrew Lopez, RN http://www.4nursing.com |
