Anti clot drugs.....

What are your thoughts on this? Anti-clot drugs urged for stent patients

I heard about it on the news yesterday. Do you think this may cause a person to bleed out in anyway due to the stint also being medicated and then taking the anticoagulant on top of it???

:frustrated: JEEEEZZ, I hope not! As a stent pt since August 06 and a Plavix, asa pt, I hope that I don't stroke out and die! I have been having rather frequent headaches lately towards the end of my shift that I just figured were from the stress of working. I haven't been diagnosed with hypertension. The last night that I worked, I mentioned my headache to another nurse who suggested that I check my BP and it was 138/95! Told my daughter (a surg nuse) who told me to check with the doc. I HATE worrying my kids, and didn't even consider that it would upset her! So, I'll call doc's office on Monday to let her know. In the meantime, I hope I'm on the right regimen!
