    Hello!

Howdy everyone! I just decided this last summer to pursue nursing after being an EMT for the last 4 years. I'm very excited about this path, as it seems a good fit, and also allows me to do all the "fun" jobs in the medical field. I'm particularly looking at specializing in flight, ER or CCU.

    Thumbs up Re: Hello!

    oyster01,

IMHO, you'd enjoy the Emergency Dept., or Care Flight Nursing more than CCU [ICU]. Although, my specialty is ICU I have floated to the ED and my wife [also an RN] worked in ED for several years. With your EMT background I'd think you would be a perfect fit for the ED. I've never done Care Flight or known anyone that has but the primary objective would most likely be very similar to an EMT's.

Please, keep us updated on your pursuit of a nursing career.

    WELCOME!
