Seeking Advice RE: MS degree program

I am in the process of applying for Graduate School. My interest is in Renal, so I was in the process of applying for the Clinical Nurse Specialist Program. The guidance councilor is pushing me toward the Nurse Practitioner Program. She says that the NP degree will open more doors of opportunity for me. So, here is my question: Is the NP credential more valuable than the CNS degree in the Dialysis field?

NP most definately. But I'd go Adult NP in possible instead of Family NP.
