| dialysis opportunities overseas? I want to travel overseas. I am currently in Oklahoma workin gin chronic and acute dialysis. I am a fairly new nurse. I do have a part-time job working in Med-Surg. I am thinking of moving into the the realm of ICU. I really want to travel. Is there any hope for me to get out of the US? |

| Super Moderator | Re: dialysis opportunities overseas? There are definitely opportunities overseas. Most Travel agencies and employee placement services will want you to have at least 2-3 years of experience in acute care before they'll consider you for an assignment overseas. You're talking about practicing in another country, and that involves a major change, culture shock. It is not something they would recommend for a new graduate or fairly new nurse. You need to be seasoned, experienced and highly competent to succeed in that type of situation. Andrew Lopez, RN http://www.nursinga2z.com |
