 | Question about IV Cert Does anyone know where I can get IV certified??? I've called the local hosp. and they say they dont have it. I am currently in LVN school and would like to get it done sometime in the next few months. I live in Orange County. Thanks for any info. Ashley

| Re: Question about IV Cert http://www.bvnpt.ca.gov/sitemap.htm My junior college (Pasadena City College) offered a 36 hour instruction course at the end of which we received a certificate of course completion for intravenous therapy and blood withdrawal. Find out if your school offers this training. If not I'd then check out the website above and see if there is a local place that offers it. You might even be able to learn through the American Red Cross. There's another list from Wikepedia that might be of some interest. | Re: Question about IV Cert Be careful, follow through with the paperwork, and verify with the bnvpt. I paid $135 for a course when I was and LVN. I thought I had a valid certification. My employer never notified me otherwise. I changed jobs and my new employer notified me I had no certification and had to go to another class. |
