| Leadership Redesign We are currently looking at redesigning the leadership structure of our EC. We are a Level 1 Trauma and burn center seeing 65,000+ patients a year. Our current structure is a follow Director Assistant Director 8-5 Assistant Director 5-1 Educator 4 charge nurses with reliefs charges Our Director, Assistant Directors, and Educator are currently being overwelmed with administrative duties as well as being needed out on the unit. Currently the charge nurse has numerous duties and are looking at restructuring that position to be a EC flow coordinator and then a Charge Nurse that is able to function more as resource and leader with the nurses. Any other management structors suggestion that have worked for others our size would help. |
